With more than 25 years of professional consulting experience, Edward J. Emering is nationally recognized for his extensive knowledge in the actuarial, employee benefit and executive compensation areas. A frequent lecturer and author, Mr. Emering has written numerous professional articles, including those published in the Harvard Business Review, the Financial Executive and the Practical Accountant. He has also authored five books.

Mr. Emering is an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the American Society of Pension Actuaries. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University, the University of Utah and DePaul University with degrees in Economics, Business Administration and Taxation. Mr. Emering also has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Pension Planning Compliance and Compensation and Benefits Management magazines.

Cynthia E. Baldwin, FSA, MSPA, EA

Ms. Baldwin has more than 20 years of experience in design, implementation and administration of defined benefit pension plans. An Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries, Ms. Baldwin is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University with a degree in applied mathematics. Prior to joining Emering Jantzen Associates, she has held senior actuarial positions in a number of major firms, including Milliman & Robertson and Price Waterhouse.
