Indochine Posts & Telegraph Medal The 30mm Indochine Posts & Telegraph medal was first awarded to staff of the Indochine Posts and Telegraph Service in Tonkin in 1885 and in Cochinchina in 1889. The medal is usually hung from a ribbon with six alternating sets of 1.5mm red, white and blue stripes. It was awarded in silver and bronze classes. France authorized an allocation of 30 bronze medals per year for European recipients and 70 for native recipients. The numbers for award of the silver medal were 20 for Europeans and 30 for natives.
